Expensive domains was sold at a whooping US$3 million last Dec. 4, 2006. Roustam Tariko of Conglomerate Russian Standard Co. bought the domain from an undisclosed seller. - listing and parking domains service provider - acted as the sales agent for the sale.

Russian Standard Co. is the owner of Russian Standard bank - the country's largest private bank - and controls 2/3 of the sales of premium vodka. Its Imperia brand's recipe is said to have been discovered by Dimitri Mendeleev, a 19th century Russian scientist.
